Happy Birthday to Me!

Oh my gosh, can you believe the excitement of knowing I turn 55 this month. I am finally old enough, after building Carefrees for 18 years, to legally live in one of my own properties. I just never thought I would ever have thought that. It always seemed so far away!!
 
What a wild journey it has been. Over the last 18 years we have had over 15,000 residents live at Carefree. I can honestly say building and operating Carefree has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. I have had the true reward of having thousands of residents talk to me, write to me and hug me, thankful for what we have done, the lives we have changed and the opportunities for fun and new friendships.
 
Many of you remember when I used to bring my two boys, now 27 and 24, to the properties for activities. My youngest son still trims the palm trees for the properties. Now I am blessed to bring Kennedi, my now 11 year old daughter, to the events ever since she was a baby. Kennedi loves to visit the residents and hand out dog biscuits.
 
Last weekend I spent a lot of time reflecting on my life. I am truly blessed to be healthy, living in Las Vegas with 25 other family members. I am surrounded by an incredible, hard working, loyal group of employees. I have over 1000 residents now living at Carefree that support my staff, programs and our community.
